Saudi's National Center for Non-Profit Sector approves Museum Professional Association

Riyadh, September 26, 2023, In a significant development for the cultural landscape of Saudi Arabia, the National Center for Non-Profit Sector has granted approval for the establishment of the inaugural Museum Professional Association, with its headquarters to be situated in Riyadh.


Heading the board of directors of this pioneering association is Princess Haifa bint Mansour bin Bandar bin Mansour. Assisting her in this crucial role are a distinguished group of individuals, including Vice President Dr. Tahani Almahmood, Financial Supervisor Laila Alfaddagh, Dr. Mohammed Al-Qahtani, Nora AlGosaibi, Sarah Al-Omran, and Nora Al-Zamil.


Princess Haifa, the newly appointed chairperson of the board of directors, articulated the association's mission, highlighting its aim to oversee and guide museums while fostering an environment that promotes innovation, professionalism, and continuous development. She also underscored the association's commitment to attracting and supporting professional talent, organizing training programs, providing essential resources, recognizing artistic achievements, and facilitating communication among industry professionals.


The establishment of the Museum Professional Association aligns with the Ministry of Culture's comprehensive strategy for the non-profit sector, which has received the endorsement of Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, the Minister of Culture. This strategic initiative aims to build a diverse network of non-profit organizations, encompassing 16 professional associations spanning 13 cultural sectors across the Kingdom, thereby contributing significantly to the cultural enrichment of Saudi society.
