Dhaka, January 31, 2024, The Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Alsheikh, engaged in a meeting with the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, as part of his official visit to the country. The meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral ties and discuss matters of mutual interest.
At the outset of the meeting, Prime Minister Hasina extended a warm welcome to Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Alsheikh and his accompanying delegation, expressing hopes for a pleasant stay. She underscored the historically strong ties between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.
In response, the Speaker of the Shura Council expressed gratitude for the warm reception and emphasized that his visit serves to enhance the longstanding relations between the two nations. Sheikh Dr. Al-Alsheikh highlighted the comprehensive renaissance taking place in Saudi Arabia, aligning with the ambitious goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
During the meeting, both parties conducted a thorough review of the relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh. Various topics of mutual interest were discussed, reflecting the shared commitment to fostering cooperation and understanding between the two nations. The accompanying delegation included members of the Shura Council, such as Khalid Mohammed Al-Bawardi and Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Saif, as well as the Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh, Issa Al-Dahilan. The discussions aimed to strengthen ties and contribute to the ongoing dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh.
