Saudi Space Agency Expands Global Collaboration with Sierra Space in Landmark MOU

In a significant move towards advancing its position in the global space arena, the Saudi Space Agency (SSA) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sierra Space, a leading U.S. company specializing in space technologies. The agreement aims to foster the exchange of knowledge, skills, and experiences, with a focus on enhancing national capabilities in the field of space and related technologies. The commitment to expanding international partnerships underscores the SSA's dedication to global cooperation in the space sector.


The MoU was formalized through the signatures of SSA CEO, Dr. Mohammed bin Saud Al-Tamimi, and Sierra Space CEO, Tom Vice. The signing ceremony, attended by Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha, emphasized the delegation's official visit to the United States. This visit seeks to deepen collaborations in technology, space, and innovation.


With this agreement and other collaborative initiatives with U.S. entities specialized in space exploration, the SSA aims to share its vision, develop specialized training programs, and contribute to the growth of the local and global space sector. By fostering innovation, the agency strives to build a sustainable future through partnerships and advancements in space technology.
