Florida, November 19, 2023, The Saudi Tourism Authority made a notable presence at the Phocuswright Conference, a prominent travel and technology industry gathering held from November 13 to 16 in Florida, US. Themed "You, Me and the Machine," the conference aimed to foster communication, strengthen relationships, establish strategic partnerships, and encourage investment in the tourism sector.
With over 1,200 attendees representing more than 500 global brands in travel, tourism, and innovative technologies, the conference explored advancements in the industry, particularly through the integration of artificial intelligence.
Fahd Hamidaddin, CEO of the Saudi Tourism Authority, actively participated in a session titled "Innovating Travel & Tourism for the Future." During this session, he highlighted the successful transformation of the tourism sector in the Kingdom. Topics discussed included the culture of innovation, the development and qualification of national talents, efforts to enhance the tourist experience, and the creative approach to goal-setting and overcoming challenges. These efforts align with the targets of the tourism sector and the broader goals of Vision 2030.
Hamidaddin and his delegation met with CEOs and leaders of major US market companies to explore business opportunities and encourage investment in the tourism supply chain. Emphasizing the Kingdom's commitment to international engagement, Hamidaddin underscored the importance of participating in such conferences to attract investment to the Saudi tourism sector, focusing on the American market.
