Saudi Vice Minister El-khereiji represents Saudi Foreign Minister at Arab Economic Cooperation Forum session with Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan

Doha, April 30, 2024, Deputizing for Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Saudi Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Eng. Waleed El-khereiji played a pivotal role today at the third session of the Arab Economic and Cooperation Forum with Central Asian countries and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the session, Elkhereiji delivered a speech commending the successful outcomes of the previous sessions, which led to the Riyadh and Dushanbe declarations aimed at enhancing coordination and consultation among the participating nations. He emphasized the significance of sustaining this forum to deepen cooperation and foster dialogue on matters of mutual concern and the challenges confronting the region and the global community.

Elkhereiji reiterated Saudi Arabia's urgent appeal to the international community to fulfill its obligations in promptly halting Israel's military activities, preventing the collective punishment of civilians, ceasing attempts to forcibly displace Gaza Strip residents, and lifting the blockade on the strip. He stressed the critical need to facilitate the work of humanitarian organizations in delivering essential aid to Palestinians without impediments.

Expressing deep concern over the escalating military tensions in the Middle East, Elkhereiji underscored the gravity of its potential repercussions. He called upon all involved parties to exercise utmost restraint and avoid escalating conflicts, emphasizing the imperative of safeguarding regional stability and the well-being of its inhabitants.
