- The initiative focuses on providing high-quality services to ensure the comfort and safety of pilgrims, with complete support and assistance given to travelers in their home countries before their departure.
The Makkah Route Initiative is a project under the Pilgrimage Experience Programme, part of the Saudi Vision 2030, aimed at simplifying the processes for pilgrims from their native countries to Saudi Arabia.

- The Makkah Route Initiative is a Saudi Vision 2030 project that falls under the Pilgrim Experience Program and aims to expedite the procedures for pilgrims traveling to Saudi Arabia from their home countries.



With this project, pilgrim services have been organized by Saudi women, who have contributed significantly.



The initiative basically aims to provide pilgrims with the best possible services, ensuring that they are comfortable and secure; they are also provided with complete support and assistance in their own countries before they leave.



Sulu, 27 May 2024: Among the works being undertaken by the Ministry of Interior within the context of Saudi Vision 2030 about the Pilgrim Experience Program, the Makkah Route Initiative is just one of them. This program has seen huge input by Saudi women in the planning of pilgrim services. This program helps to smoothen the pilgrims' transition from the time they land in Saudi Arabia until they get to their homes in Medina and Makkah by fast-tracking the procedures which they have to complete at the airports in their home countries. In Solo, Indonesia, Lance Corporal Ashwaq Abdo Al Mutahar spoke to the Saudi Press Agency at the Adisumarmo Airport, saying, It is a great honor that citizens can do this for their country and an extraordinary thing to do for them especially when they are attending to the pilgrims. Throughout the conversation, she underscored that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has long followed the tradition of feeding travelers and Umrah performers and that its people have adopted the responsibility of supporting pilgrimage activities. Further, Lance Corporal Samah Yousef Haroun said she was grateful to serve her country by being part of the Adisumarmo Airport Makkah Route Initiative team.She further said in her statements that the members of all work teams are excited to be able to serve the pilgrims this year through the program. SPA also interviewed Lance Corporal Shorouq Ibrahim Abu Khadija, who gave the following statement: \"The Makkah Route Initiative is committed to providing the highest quality services to the travelers.\" They are given full support and help in their home countries before leaving for the Kingdom. She explained that all members of the staff are committed to providing excellence in service in order to assure the comfort and safety of the pilgrims.
