New Delhi, February 27, 2024, The Saudi youth cycling team made history by clinching its first-ever bronze medal at the Asian Field & Track Championships 2024, held in New Delhi, India. Muhammad Majrashi secured the bronze in the Elimination Race, marking a significant milestone for Saudi Arabia in Asian cycling competitions.
With over 300 male and female athletes from 18 Asian teams in participation, the competition was fierce. Korean cyclist Park Woojin claimed the gold medal, while Japanese rider Kazuma Muara took home the silver. The Elimination Race saw intense rivalry and spirited performances from the 10 riders representing Saudi Arabia, as well as teams from Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Taipei, and Uzbekistan.
