Saudia boosts seat capacity 380% on Saudi-Turkey flights, with e-visas for Turks

Saudia, the Saudi national carrier, has significantly expanded its monthly seat capacity by 380% for flights between Saudi Arabia and Turkey, coinciding with the availability of electronic visas for Turkish citizens. This move aligns with Saudi Vision 2030's objectives, particularly its role in accommodating 30 million pilgrims.

The expansion is strategic, considering the growing number of guests arriving for Umrah, and Saudia is dedicated to enhancing their pilgrimage experience. The airline has added flights to Ankara and Gaziantep, facilitating direct connections to Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah. During the peak Umrah season, Saudia plans to introduce an additional 100 flights, increasing seating capacity by 37,000, serving Jeddah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah airports.

With the extension of visit visa validity to one year and the flexibility of multiple visits, Turkish guests can engage in Umrah and general visits throughout the year, excluding the Hajj season.

Saudia contributes to this initiative by providing enriched content on its in-flight entertainment systems, helping guests familiarize themselves with religious visual productions and explore Saudi Arabia's religious sites and tourist destinations.

Saudia's digital service platform, available through its website and mobile apps, simplifies travel procedures, offering a seamless post-purchase experience. The airline is also committed to enhancing the travel experience by integrating artificial intelligence technologies in line with its new era and identity.
