Saudia Extends Partnership with Newcastle United Football Club

In a noteworthy development, Jeddah-based Saudia, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's national flag carrier, has announced a multi-year extension of its partnership with Newcastle United Football Club (NUFC). This strategic alliance solidifies Saudia's position as the Official Airline Partner of NUFC and marks a significant milestone in their collaboration.

The partnership, which spans several years, represents a pivotal step for both entities. It aims to connect Saudia, the kingdom's premier airline, with Newcastle United's vast global fanbase, offering them captivating and immersive experiences.

This extended partnership builds upon Saudia's role during the 2022/23 season when the airline facilitated the transportation of Eddie Howe's team from Newcastle to Riyadh for warm-weather training and a friendly match against the Saudi Arabian Al-Hilal Football Club. The success of this collaboration served as a catalyst for further engagement.

Saudia is committed to fostering a deeper connection with Newcastle United fans, both in the United Kingdom and around the world. Through an array of engaging activities and digital initiatives, fans can look forward to hospitality experiences, match tickets, exciting prizes, opportunities to win signed merchandise, and chances to explore Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, football enthusiasts worldwide will have the opportunity to experience Saudia's world-class service, inflight products, and entertainment options as the airline's network continues to expand, encompassing more than 100 destinations.

Khaled Tash, Saudia's Group Chief Marketing Officer, expressed enthusiasm about this partnership, emphasizing Saudia's commitment to forging meaningful connections that transcend geographical boundaries. He sees Newcastle United as a club with a rich history, strong values, and a passionate fanbase that aligns with Saudia's principles. Connecting with the Newcastle United fanbase offers exciting possibilities for Saudia, allowing them to introduce their brand and values as well as showcase the attractions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Peter Silverstone, Newcastle United's Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted the success of their partnership in 2022 and praised Saudia's activations, which resonated well with their local and global fanbase. The club's aspiration is to expand its global reach and become the most popular Premier League club in Saudi Arabia and other territories. The partnership with Saudia is expected to facilitate the growth of Newcastle United's global presence.

Saudia, as the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, connects travelers to over 100 destinations worldwide via its state-of-the-art hub at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and other key terminals across the country. This partnership extension reflects the airline's commitment to enhancing its global presence and reaching new audiences. It promises to be a mutually beneficial journey for both Saudia and Newcastle United, enriching the experiences of their fans and passengers alike.
