On March 15 and 16, SAUDIA convened a meeting of the SkyTeam Alliance Advisory Group in Jeddah. The meeting, presided over by SkyTeam CEO Mr. Patrick Roux, reviewed Alliance affairs and current aviation industry events. Executives from the 19 member airlines were present.
The visitors to the two-day event also stopped by the ALFURSAN lounge, KAIA's new terminal, and SAUDIA's new Integrated Operations Control Center.
Members of SkyTeam can also take a tour of the Islamic Arts Biennial thanks to SAUDIA. Visitors also delighted in a visit to Jeddah's Al Balad Historic Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The visits are intended to improve comprehension of Saudi Arabia's robust tourist offering and the country's dedication to sharing its rich history and heritage with the rest of the globe.
In 2012, SAUDIA joined SkyTeam, one of the three principal international alliances. The membership has been crucial in helping the airline increase its coverage area and provide better service to its customers.
With 15.4 thousand flights per day to more than 1,000 locations across 170 countries, the alliance's airlines transport more than 670 million passengers annually. Additionally, they grant access to about 790 First and Business Class lounges located all over the world.
