Saudia launches direct flights to Red Sea International Airport with RSG

Riyadh – Saudia, Saudi Arabia's national flag carrier, marked the commencement of its direct flights to the Red Sea International Airport (RSI) in collaboration with Red Sea Global (RSG). To celebrate this milestone, Saudia and RSG organized a series of events, both at the Altanfeethi lounge at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh (RUH) and onboard, graced by esteemed officials and executives. Saudia now operates two weekly flights to and from RSI, a strategic destination in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

Passengers on Saudia's inaugural flight were presented with special commemorative boarding passes. The airline's Boeing B787 aircraft showcased Saudia's new brand identity, symbolizing a new era, along with the Red Sea destination logo. Onboard, passengers were treated to an immersive experience of Saudi culture through a range of services, including Saudi coffee, premium dates, in-flight entertainment, and a Saudi-inspired menu.

Moreover, the in-flight screens featured informative videos outlining the goals and timeline of the Red Sea destination. During the event, Captain Ibrahim Koshy, CEO of Saudia, and John Pagano, CEO of Red Sea Global, discussed their collaborative partnership. Saudia's role as the first airline to serve this new destination is a crucial step in supporting initiatives for sustainable travel to the Red Sea region, aligning with its commitment to be a driving force behind Vision 2030.
