Riyadh: Saudia, the flagship carrier of Saudi Arabia, has forged a significant partnership with the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) through its AlFursan loyalty program. Facilitated by the Ehsan National Platform for Charitable Work, this collaboration is geared towards promoting solidarity and community engagement by supporting charitable initiatives. The partnership enables members of the AlFursan loyalty program to contribute their accumulated miles to charitable causes via the Ehsan platform.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was formally signed by Essam Akhonbay, Vice President of the AlFursan Loyalty Program at Saudia, and Engr. Ibrahim Alhusaini, CEO of Ehsan. This agreement is envisioned as a means to streamline the digital donation process for AlFursan members, accessible through Saudia's website and mobile application.
Essam Akhonbay expressed Saudia's pride in collaborating with SDAIA to empower AlFursan members to make digital contributions to 'Ehsan,' a leading charity platform committed to advancing the charitable sector. Notably, the launch of this initiative during Ramadan holds special significance as it encourages philanthropy during this sacred month.
Engr. Ibrahim Alhusaini highlighted that the MoU is aligned with the National Platform for Charitable Work, now in its fourth edition, initiated on the fifth day of Ramadan. The platform has received generous donations from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and H.H. Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. This underscores their steadfast support for charitable endeavors in the Kingdom.
The memorandum aims to cultivate a culture of donation and community solidarity, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, while also backing community projects and humanitarian causes. With SDAIA's support in streamlining charitable efforts, Ramadan emerges as a pivotal period for giving and generosity, witnessing significant participation and engagement in charitable activities.
