Riyadh, February 20, 2024, In the third installment of the Saudi Media Forum 2024, convened by the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) in partnership with the Saudi Journalists Association, a thought-provoking dialogue session unfolded under the theme "Media in Crisis: Role and Mutual Influence." Facilitated by seasoned journalist Waleed Al-Khanfoor, the session featured a distinguished panel comprising Faisal Abbas, Editor-in-Chief of Arab News; Con Coughlin, Executive Defense and Foreign Affairs Editor at Telegraph Media Group; and Norman Rolle, CEO of Pharos Strategic Consulting.
The panel delved into the pivotal role of media in navigating and responding to crises, underscoring the profound responsibility media outlets bear in investigating issues and sourcing information from credible channels.
