Dammam, November 13, 2023, The German SC Magdeburg team secured their third consecutive championship title at the World Club Handball Championship "Super Globe 2023," a tournament hosted for the fourth time by the Kingdom and held at the Ministry of Sports Hall in Dammam. The event witnessed the esteemed presence of Dr. Hassan Moustafa, President of the International Handball Federation (IHF), and Fadel Al-Nimr, President of the Saudi Handball Federation.
SC Magdeburg clinched the title after a nail-biting final match against the German team Füchse Berlin, with a final score of 34-32, following an extended period of extra time. The first half of the match concluded with the Füchse Berlin leading by a margin of three goals, 16-13.
Subsequent to the gripping final, Dr. Hassan Moustafa and Fadel Al-Nimr presented the championship cup and gold medals to the captain of the SC Magdeburg team. Meanwhile, the Füchse Berlin team received the silver medals, and the Barcelona team secured the bronze medals by defeating Poland's Vive Kielce with a final score of 33-30.
