Riyadh, October 22, 2023, Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA) took a significant step towards international collaboration by formalizing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Contractors Association of Korea (ICAK). This momentous agreement was solidified at the SCA's headquarters in a ceremony graced by the presence of dignitaries, including Majid Al-Hoqail, the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, and Noh Hyeong-ouk, the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport of the Republic of Korea. Eng. Zakraia bin Abdulrahman Al-Abdulqader, Chairman of the SCA's Board of Directors, was among the distinguished attendees, and the MoU was signed on behalf of the SCA by its Secretary-General, Abdumajeed Al-Rashudi, with the ICAK represented by Sun-ho Park.
The core objective of this MoU is to foster a robust partnership and facilitate the exchange of knowledge between the SCA and the ICAK, particularly within the construction industry. This strategic collaboration aims to establish a comprehensive framework and set of standards for the advancement of the construction sector in both Saudi Arabia and Korea. Notably, the MoU seeks to place significant emphasis on enhancing the skills and expertise of the workforce operating in the construction field. In doing so, it is expected to make a substantial contribution to the mutual growth and progression of the construction sectors in both nations, exemplifying a forward-looking approach to international cooperation.
