In Seoul, Republic of Korea, the Saudi Center for Opinion Polling (SCOP) took part in the 77th annual Wiation for Public Opinion Research (WAPOR) conference.
Hundreds of researchers from 51 different nations attended the meeting.
The CEO of SCOP, Dr. Abdullah Alhokail, stressed the importance of cooperative research on response rates and how they affect survey outcomes because there are differences in global standards and no concrete remedies from recognized institutions. The workshop recommended working together on joint research projects to promote scientific standards and methodologies with European measuring institutes.
"Riyadh, August 5, 2024." The 77th annual World Association for Public Opinion Research (WAPOR) conference, held in Seoul, Republic of Korea, has come to an end for the Saudi Center for Opinion Polling (SCOP).
The conference was attended by hundreds of researchers from fifty-one different nations.
The Chief Executive Officer of SCOP, Dr. Abdullah Alhokail, delivered a scientific talk. In it, he underlined how important it is to do cooperative studies on response rates and how they affect survey outcomes. He emphasized that this methodological difficulty must be addressed because there are currently differences in global standards and recognized organizations do not have any concrete solutions to offer.
The gathering recommended that the SCOP work on cooperative research initiatives with other European public opinion measurement institutions. We want to improve scientific practices and standards in this area via our collaboration.
