Barcelona, November 09, 2023, The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) played an active role in the Barcelona Smart City Expo World Congress in Spain. At the event, the authority led discussions highlighting its endeavors in developing smart cities, focusing on the Baseer platform's data-driven AI solutions.
Dr. Sattam Al Subaie, CEO of the Smart City Excellence Center at SDAIA, engaged in a session centered on smart governance for efficient smart city management. He emphasized the Kingdom's dedication to leveraging technology for enhancing citizens' quality of life.
Dr. Al Subaie underscored SDAIA's collaborations with government bodies in deploying data and AI technologies to create smart systems, particularly emphasizing the Smart C national platform and the Foresight platform. These platforms provide crucial updated indicators and insights, enabling better city management and an improved quality of life for residents and visitors.
Additionally, SDAIA has laid the groundwork, including the National Data Bank and the DIEM Cloud, to support the development of AI systems for smart-city services, benefitting various government agencies catering to residents in the Kingdom's cities.
