Shenzhen, December 10, 2023, Yasser Al-Onaizan, the CEO of the National Center for Artificial Intelligence at the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SDAIA), showcased Saudi Arabia's generative AI initiatives and projects at a session titled "Digital Economy and Artificial Intelligence – Productivity and Growth" in Shenzhen, China. The session was conducted during the visit of Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih and his delegation to government and private sectors in China and Hong Kong.
Al-Onaizan emphasized the Kingdom's commitment to advancing artificial intelligence across various sectors. He highlighted SDAIA's initiatives, including organizing generative AI forums in Saudi universities to enhance knowledge and awareness, launching the first-of-its-kind generative AI accelerator (GAIA) in the MENA region to support startups, and issuing reports on generative AI and large language models.
Participation in such international sessions allows SDAIA to exchange experiences in the data and AI fields with other countries. It underscores the organization's dedication to leveraging generative AI techniques for societal benefit and promoting collaboration in the global AI community.
