Davos, January 17, 2024, The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) showcased its significant strides in Smart-City technologies at the Digital Saudi Exhibition, a part of the Kingdom’s representation at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, taking place from January 15 to 19.
At the exhibition, SDAIA presented its endeavors in smart-city technologies, highlighting the Smart C national platform for smart cities. This platform incorporates Smart City Management and live operational indicators, allowing the monitoring of vital sectors in Riyadh City. The goal is to support operators in assessing service levels, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for residents. The showcase also featured strategic indicators, advanced analytics, and simulation models, providing valuable tools for planning and predicting future trends.
Through its participation in this global gathering, SDAIA aims to bolster the Kingdom's position as a pioneer in data and artificial intelligence (AI). The presentation underlines the remarkable progress achieved in these fields in just a few years, with the Kingdom ranking high in global indicators for AI techniques. This aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to position the Kingdom at the forefront of the world's most advanced countries in the industry.
SDAIA's involvement in the exhibition precedes its organization of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's inaugural Global Smart City Forum scheduled for February 12-13 in Riyadh. The forum will host 80 speakers from over 40 countries, engaging in discussions on shaping a visionary future for smart cities through innovative solutions. The overarching goal is to contribute to sustainable urban development and enhance the overall quality of life for residents.
