On September 12, 2024, in Riyadh, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) officially unveiled the national "DEEM" mail service, which operates through the government cloud infrastructure also named DEEM. This service, developed entirely by SDAIA's experts, is designed to optimize cost-efficiency for government operations, ensure top-tier security, and provide full control over the email system.
The introduction of the DEEM mail service took place at the third Global AI Summit in Riyadh, which is hosting over 300 speakers and AI specialists from 100 countries. The DEEM Cloud represents a significant technological advancement offered by SDAIA to support the digital transformation of government institutions, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030. It provides a robust infrastructure featuring cutting-edge technology to secure government data, while also aiming to reduce expenses related to infrastructure management, protection, and maintenance. Additionally, it seeks to consolidate data centers across government sectors to improve operational efficiency.
