Riyadh, March 23, 2025 – The Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA) has introduced guidelines outlining the key stages and steps for assessing risks associated with personal data transfers, focusing on potential impacts and mitigation measures.

SDAIA has also developed a specialized tool to assist in evaluating risks related to transferring personal data outside the Kingdom, accessible to registrants on the National Data Governance Platform. This initiative aligns with national efforts to ensure compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law.

The guidelines demonstrate SDAIA’s commitment to upholding data protection standards, fostering trust in digital transactions, and supporting Vision 2030’s goal of a data-driven economy powered by AI.
