
Riyadh, March 23, 2025 – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), took part in the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) session organized under the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
The session focused on reviewing AI policies with representatives from multiple countries, discussing international AI efforts, successful practices, and challenges related to the development and adoption of AI technologies at both national and international levels.
SDAIA emphasized the Kingdom’s leading role in AI and its advanced position in adopting cutting-edge technologies and building an integrated AI system that fosters innovation and supports sustainable development, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
SDAIA also outlined its national AI strategy, initiatives to improve AI governance, innovation, and technological responsibility, as well as its strong global rankings in the field, underscoring the Kingdom’s leadership and contributions to digital transformation and innovation both locally and internationally.
SDAIA highlighted the importance of its collaborations with global organizations to advance AI ethics and policies, contributing to the creation of international standards for the safe and responsible use of AI technologies. The role of AI in supporting Saudi Vision 2030 by improving digital infrastructure, driving innovation in key sectors, and enhancing national AI capabilities was also emphasized.
During the event, SDAIA showcased Saudi Arabia's global achievements in data and AI in 2024, including top positions in government AI strategy rankings.
SDAIA’s participation reflects the Kingdom’s prominent role, driven by its ambitious Vision 2030, in shaping the future of AI worldwide through active involvement in international policy-making and advancing the discussion on AI ethics and applications.
