Al-Mahra, March 23, 2025 – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY), continues to bolster Yemen’s healthcare sector by implementing critical development projects designed to improve medical services, enhance quality of life, and support sustainable healthcare infrastructure.
A key project under this initiative is the Dialysis Center at Al-Ghaydah Hospital in Al-Mahra Governorate, which was established and fully equipped by SDRPY to serve kidney patients in Al-Mahra and surrounding areas. The center has significantly decreased the need for patients to travel for treatment, providing accessible and high-quality medical care.
Since its inception, the center has conducted over 22,000 dialysis sessions, helping patients manage their condition and improve their quality of life. Furthermore, it has offered more than 97,000 specialized medical services, including medical examinations, consultations, and laboratory tests. The center also plays an important role in raising awareness about kidney diseases and prevention methods.
Equipped with over 80 advanced medical devices, the center is a testament to Saudi Arabia’s comprehensive development and humanitarian support for Yemen. While SDRPY facilitated the center’s construction and equipment, its operation is managed by KSrelief, ensuring efficient healthcare delivery.
