SDRPY launches projects at University of Aden, patronized by Prime Minister

Aden, March 04, 2024, The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) unveiled a series of initiatives at the University of Aden in a ceremony graced by the patronage of Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak. Also in attendance were Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid Ahmed Al-Wasabi and University of Aden Director Dr. Al-Khader Nasser Lasour.

These initiatives hold significant importance as they are tailored to meet the practical needs of students at the University of Aden while simultaneously bolstering the capabilities of relevant government sectors and aiding them in fulfilling their responsibilities. By facilitating the enhancement and implementation of educational programs within the university, the SDRPY contributes significantly to advancing educational objectives.

The projects encompass a spectrum of activities, including the renovation and equipping of buildings and laboratories within the College of Pharmacy and the Criminal Investigation Laboratory. The initial phase focuses on rehabilitation, followed by the provision of state-of-the-art equipment and furnishing of offices and educational spaces.

Moreover, these endeavors are strategically designed to foster the advancement of knowledge and stimulate creativity, innovation, scientific inquiry, self-directed learning, and lifelong education among students and faculty alike.

These initiatives represent a fraction of the 229 development projects and initiatives spearheaded by the SDRPY across various Yemeni governorates. With a comprehensive scope spanning eight vital sectors—including education, health, water, energy, transportation, agriculture, and fisheries—the program is dedicated to fortifying Yemeni communities and augmenting the capabilities of the Yemeni government's development programs.
