Saudi Arabia, SeAH Gulf Special Steel Industries, a joint venture between South Korean SeAH Changwon Integrated Special Steel and Saudi Arabian Industrial Investments Company (Dusur), will start construction on the first stainless seamless pipe and tube manufacturing facility in the MENA region on February 1, 2023.
Dussur CEO Dr. Raed Alrayes, President and CEO of SeAH Holdings Mr. Tae Sung Lee, Executive Vice President of ARAMCO Mr. Ahmad Al-Sa'adi, Vice Chairman of SeAH Holdings Mr. Eui Sook Park, CEO of SeAH CSS Mr. Sang Eun Lee, and CEO of Dussur Dr. Raed Al-Rayes participated in the groundbreaking ceremony.
A joint venture between Dussur and the South Korean company SeAH Changwon Integrated Special Steel is creating SeAH Gulf Special Steel Industries to build the first stainless seamless pipe and tube manufacturing facility in the MENA area, with a production capacity of 20,000 tons annually.
The plant will be constructed on a 177,845 square meter site at SPARK, one of the most developed industrial cities in the Kingdom, for its strategic location that offers integrated industrial, water, and telecommunication services, as part of SeAH Gulf Special Industries' past EPC agreement with Sendan International, which has established a strong position as a contractor in the Kingdom. By 2025, the factory is anticipated to start operating for profit.
This project emphasizes the parties' shared objective of growing the Saudi industrial sector and supporting the oil, gas, energy, and water industries of the kingdom through strategic investments and alliances with domestic and international organizations.
