Riyadh, December 26, 2024 – Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs of Qatar, co-chaired the second meeting of the Security and Military Committee established by the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council. The session, held virtually, aimed to further strengthen the strategic security cooperation between the two nations.
Prince Abdulaziz opened the meeting by reaffirming the importance of the session in advancing the security agenda of both countries, as directed by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The Minister underscored the deep-rooted brotherly relations between Saudi Arabia and Qatar, which are built upon shared goals of security, stability, and prosperity in the region. He also extended his congratulations to Sheikh Saoud on his recent appointment as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, as well as to the Qatari government and people on the occasion of their National Day, wishing them continued security and progress.
