Riyadh, October 3, 2024 — The National Center for Security Operations (NCSO) reported that it received a total of 2,723,631 emergency calls through the 911 hotline in September from the regions of Riyadh, Makkah, and the Eastern Provinces. The Unified Security Operations Centers 911, which operates round the clock, efficiently managed each call, ensuring that they were promptly directed to the appropriate security service or service provider.
With the support of cutting-edge automated systems and a highly skilled multilingual team, the center was able to provide professional, precise, and timely responses to all emergency situations. The advanced systems in place ensured that calls were handled with the utmost accuracy, allowing for swift coordination between various emergency and security services.
The distribution of calls across the three regions was significant, reflecting the center's ability to manage a high volume of requests. The Unified Security Operations Center in Makkah received 886,722 calls, while Riyadh handled the largest share with 1,283,513 calls, and the Eastern Region processed 553,396 calls. These figures highlight the NCSO’s capability to efficiently handle emergencies in Saudi Arabia’s most densely populated regions.
