Seven Countries Send Delegations to the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival

International Attendance: The ninth King Abdulaziz Camel Festival in Al-Sayahid welcomed foreign visitors from seven countries, including France, Sweden, Japan, Russia, Britain, Colombia, and Nigeria, who were introduced to Saudi Arabia's camel heritage.

Al-Sayahid, December 12, 2024 – The ninth edition of the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival, held under the theme "Pride of Its People," welcomed a diverse group of international guests to Al-Sayahid, located north of Riyadh. The festival, which celebrates Saudi Arabia’s ancient camel heritage, drew foreign visitors from seven countries, including France, Sweden, Japan, Russia, Britain, Colombia, and Nigeria. Among the guests were representatives from diplomatic and government bodies, as well as private sector companies, all eager to learn more about this significant cultural event.


The international visitors were given the opportunity to tour the various festival halls, where they were briefed on the rich history and significance of camels in Saudi culture. They learned about the different breeds and colors of camels, and were introduced to the intricacies of the festival's competitive events, including the rules and judging mechanisms that determine the best camels in the show. Among the international attendees, France’s Sivana Lordi, a first-time visitor to the festival, expressed her admiration for the festival’s organization. Lordi, who was captivated by the event’s professional execution, emphasized the significance of camels as an authentic cultural symbol of Saudi Arabia.
