Riyadh, November 14, 2023, On Tuesday, the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) formalized a collaboration with the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The agreement, inked by SFD Chief Executive Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad and SBA counterpart Mohammed Fahad Al-Harthi at the SFD headquarters in Riyadh, aims to facilitate media coverage of the Kingdom's global development projects.
The MoU outlines plans to spotlight Saudi Arabia's development initiatives managed by the SFD. Training and introductory programs will be organized to enable the exchange of expertise, along with initiatives for foreign media delegations.
Al-Harthi emphasized the SBA's commitment to collaborating with development authorities, aligning with the national vision and recognizing the vital role of media in achieving integration. He highlighted SBA's broadcasts portraying Saudi contributions in supported states, showcasing development projects until their completion.
Al-Marshad emphasized the MoU's significance, expressing the SFD's dedication to jointly highlighting the Kingdom's support for development in developing countries since its establishment 49 years ago. The SFD, established in 1974, has funded over 800 projects in vital sectors across 100 developing countries, totaling over US$20 billion and contributing to social and economic prosperity.
