SFD CEO visited Equatorial Guinea, met Foreign Affairs Minister

Riyadh, February 05, 2024, The CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, led a delegation on a visit to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, where they engaged in discussions with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Simeón Oyono Esono Angüe, aimed at bolstering developmental cooperation between the two nations.

Central to their deliberations was the exploration of avenues to strengthen collaborative efforts, focusing on the SFD's role in financing critical development projects within the West African country. Al-Marshad actively explored potential opportunities while addressing the developmental hurdles confronting Equatorial Guinea.

In response, Equatorial Guinea's Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for the Kingdom's commitment, channeled through the SFD, in providing developmental assistance through projects and programs in developing nations. Emphasizing the importance of such support in achieving sustainable development objectives, he highlighted the enduring impact of the partnership between the two countries for future generations.

With a legacy spanning back to 1975, the SFD has been steadfast in its mission to support vital sectors by financing developmental projects and programs in developing nations. Over nearly five decades of operation, the SFD has contributed to more than 800 developmental initiatives across over 100 countries worldwide, aiming to foster social progress and sustainable economic advancement.
