Riyadh, March 23, 2025 - The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has announced three new regulations to improve public health and promote healthy eating, effective July 1, 2025. These regulations require restaurants and cafes to disclose caffeine content, label high-salt items with a "Salt" icon, and provide physical activity calorie burn information on menus. The aim is to help consumers make informed dietary choices, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030’s health goals. SFDA will work with the restaurant and cafe sector to ensure successful implementation of these initiatives.
