Today, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh chaired the 12th Ordinary Session of the Shura Council, delving into various agenda items. Committees, including Education and Scientific Research, Health, Islamic and Judicial Affairs, Water, Agriculture, and Environment, Foreign Affairs, and Culture, Sports, and Tourism, presented comprehensive reports during the session.
Among notable approvals, the Shura Council gave the green light to a draft agreement for cooperation in environmental fields between the Kingdom's Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture and the Center for Environment and Development for the Arab Region and Europe (CEDARE). Additionally, the council approved a draft agreement for mutual exemption from short-stay visa requirements between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Korea for holders of diplomatic, special, and official passports.
Furthermore, a draft memorandum of understanding facilitating Chinese tourist delegations' travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was also approved, marking a significant step in enhancing tourism collaboration between the Kingdom and the People’s Republic of China.
