Amman, September 10, 2023, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, the Speaker of the Shura Council, met with Dr. Bisher Al-Khasawneh, the Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, today in Amman. As part of the Speaker of the Shura Council's official visit to Jordan with a delegation from the Shura Council, Speaker of the House of Representatives Ahmed Al-Safadi also attended the meeting. Al-Khasawneh highlighted throughout the meeting the strong ties of brotherhood that exist between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, relationships that both nations' leaders take very seriously. He emphasized the lengthy historical connections between the two countries. Al-Sheikh reaffirmed the depth of the sincere ties between Saudi Arabia and Jordan as well as the ongoing initiatives to deepen these ties and carry out the two presidents' wise views in a way that promotes both nations' interests and deals with their shared problems.
The meeting addressed a range of topics of shared interest and included discussions on how to improve ties between the two nations.
Members of the official delegation accompanying the Speaker of the Shura Council, members of the Saudi Council, and the Saudi Ambassador to Jordan were present at the meeting.
