SRCA celebrates 90 female paramedics' vital contributions to emergency services

Riyadh, February 18, 2024, The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) honors the exceptional dedication of its 90 proficient female paramedics, who stand alongside their male counterparts in delivering vital emergency medical services across the nation.

Since joining the authority in 2022, these remarkable women have served as beacons of inspiration, showcasing unparalleled commitment, empathy, and fortitude in their roles.

These female paramedics undertake a myriad of responsibilities, from administering crucial medical aid and responding to emergencies to educating communities on first aid and health matters. They also play a pivotal role in assisting pilgrims and Umrah performers at the revered holy sites of Makkah and Madinah.

Beyond borders, Saudi women have made history as the pioneering SRCA responders in the relief efforts following the 2023 Turkiye earthquakes.

At home, SRCA paramedic teams handled over 1.3 million cases last year, underscoring their indispensable contribution to the welfare of Saudi society. Aligned with the vision of Saudi Vision 2030, SRCA remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering equal opportunities for women across all sectors.
