Riyadh, January 11, 2025 – The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA), represented by its official destination brand "Saudi, Welcome to Arabia," successfully concluded its participation in the third annual Saudi Tourism Forum, held from January 7 to 9, 2025. The event, which drew representatives from both the public and private sectors, highlighted Saudi Arabia’s commitment to becoming a global tourism hub as part of the nation’s broader Vision 2030 objectives.
During the forum, the Saudi Tourism Authority took a significant step forward by signing six strategic agreements and memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with key stakeholders from various sectors, including transportation, hospitality, aviation, and smart solutions. These agreements are designed to enhance the overall tourist experience and improve infrastructure in line with Saudi Arabia’s goal of attracting a global audience. By collaborating with leading companies in these sectors, the STA aims to strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a premier travel destination, ensuring that visitors have access to world-class services and facilities.
The “Saudi, Welcome to Arabia” pavilion, one of the highlights of the forum, was a focal point of engagement, offering an array of tourism products and interactive experiences. These activities were part of the Saudi Winter program 2024-2025, which showcased the Kingdom’s diverse attractions and cultural heritage. The pavilion drew over 30,000 visitors, who had the opportunity to explore the rich offerings of Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector, from adventure tourism and historical sites to luxury resorts and cultural experiences.
In addition to the agreements and exhibitions, the STA also took the opportunity to honor the winners of its Summer Program Excellence Awards 2024, celebrating the outstanding contributions of individuals and organizations that played a pivotal role in enhancing Saudi Arabia's tourism experience during the summer season. These awards reflect the STA’s dedication to recognizing excellence and fostering continuous improvement in the country’s burgeoning tourism sector.
The conclusion of the third Saudi Tourism Forum marks a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia’s journey toward becoming a top global destination.
