Riyadh, March 14, 2024, The stc Group has finalized its operational preparations for the sacred Ramadan season of 1445 AH, as part of its ongoing commitment to delivering top-tier digital services and solutions for visitors to the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah. This initiative aligns with the Kingdom's steadfast dedication to offering the finest and most up-to-date services to its esteemed guests.
To ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance during this auspicious period, stc conducted thorough inspections of all network elements and operating systems. This meticulous process guarantees the readiness and quality of data transmission and voice calls, with a focus on maintaining professional human resources available throughout the holy month. Particularly during the peak period of the last 10 days, stc personnel will monitor network performance and conduct corrective operations around the clock.
In addition, stc has intensified daily monitoring of core cable routes and implemented emergency systems and equipment by globally approved emergency plans. These measures are designed to ensure the highest network performance, service continuity, and reliability throughout the Ramadan season.
During this year's Ramadan season, the stc Group is committed to enhancing the experience of guests visiting Makkah and Madinah. Over 997 updating operations have been carried out on all towers to improve the efficiency of 4G and 5G networks, accommodating a larger number of both domestic and international clients. Expansion and addition of new bands to the 5G network, such as N77, N78, N40, and N28, aim to enhance network speed and user experience. Furthermore, the efficiency of the 4G network has been augmented through the implementation of an additional network on the L900 frequency band.
Moreover, efforts have been made to enhance network performance at hotels and hospitals, reflecting the Kingdom's digital advancement and commitment to providing exceptional services to visitors of the holy mosques.
The stc Group continues its efforts to ensure the readiness of digital infrastructure at the Grand Mosque and its surrounding areas to serve the millions of Umrah performers. Additionally, all sites in Makkah are being prepared to accommodate Umrah performers, worshippers, visitors, and those visiting the Grand Mosque, with the aim of enhancing the quality of digital services provided to all.
