The GSMA, a lobby organization representing the interests of mobile network operators, carefully selected stc Group from a pool of 150 telecommunications and mobile operators globally. This recognition acknowledges stc Group's noteworthy contributions and leadership in the realm of cybersecurity, marking the first instance of a mobile operator outside of Europe receiving this prestigious award.

In 2023, stc Group was chosen by GSMA to be one of the six companies pioneering the T-ISAC SS7 Operator Focus Group. This group focuses on addressing mobile cyber attacks and telecommunications threats that compromise voice and SMS communications. Through this program, stc Group's executive team collaborated closely with GSMA to develop strategies for intelligence sharing and the mitigation of global telecommunications cybersecurity. The collaboration resulted in the creation of a comprehensive protective framework.
