Suriname's Finance Minister commends IsDB's commitment to funding beneficial projects

Paramaribo, September 29, 2023, Finance and Planning Minister Stanley Raghoebarsing of Suriname commended the Islamic Development Bank's (IsDB) commitment to funding projects that positively impact the social and economic well-being of his country's citizens. He made these remarks during a meeting with IsDB President and Group Chairman Mohammed Al-Jasser, attended by several Surinamese ministers. The discussions encompassed development initiatives, Islamic financing, affordable housing, investments, and healthcare sector training. President Al-Jasser highlighted the IsDB's focus on projects that enhance human capital and promote economic and social development, while also acknowledging Suriname's macroeconomic policy restructuring efforts.
