Jeddah, October 26, 2023, The Saudi Water Sports and Diving Federation (SWSDF) has inaugurated the Kingdom Sports Fishing Championship 2023 in Jeddah, featuring over 170 anglers from 13 countries organized into 31 teams. The competition will run until October 28th.
This event aligns with the ambitious Vision 2030, aiming to invigorate the burgeoning entertainment and sports industry in Saudi Arabia. It highlights the potential of the Red Sea as a thriving hub for water sports and positions it for a prosperous future.
Prince Sultan bin Fahd bin Salman, Chairman of the SWSDF's Board of Directors, underscored the championship's significance in promoting water sports activities in the Red Sea. By hosting this tournament, they aim to provide a comprehensive showcase to the world, revealing the Red Sea's capabilities and advantages as a venue for international marine competitions. This effort reinforces the Kingdom's capacity to host top-tier sport fishing tournaments.
