The second relief plane from the Saudi airlift, operated by KSrelief, arrived at Damascus International Airport in Syria, carrying food, shelter, and medical supplies to aid those affected by the ongoing crisis.

Damascus, January 2, 2025 – In a continued demonstration of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to global humanitarian efforts, the second relief plane of the Saudi airlift, operated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), arrived today at Damascus International Airport in Syria. The aircraft carried crucial supplies, including food, shelter materials, and medical aid, aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by those affected by the ongoing crisis in the country.

This latest delivery is part of Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to provide timely and effective support to communities in need, reinforcing the Kingdom’s humanitarian leadership. Through KSrelief, Saudi Arabia has consistently extended its assistance to people worldwide who are suffering from the devastating impact of conflicts, natural disasters, and other emergencies.

The aid delivered today is designed to address immediate needs in Syria, where many civilians continue to endure the effects of prolonged conflict. The cargo includes essential food provisions to nourish families, shelter materials to provide safety and security, and medical supplies to assist in treating the injured and preventing the spread of disease in affected regions.

KSrelief’s operations in Syria are part of a broader humanitarian mission that underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to offering assistance during times of crisis. This relief operation is not an isolated effort but rather a continuation of Saudi Arabia’s long-standing tradition of providing aid to those in need, regardless of their nationality or background. Through its coordinated and sustained relief efforts, KSrelief plays a critical role in mitigating suffering and promoting recovery and stability in crisis-stricken regions.

By sending this second relief plane, Saudi Arabia reaffirms its leadership role in global humanitarian initiatives, reinforcing the importance of solidarity and cooperation in times of global distress. This assistance also highlights the Kingdom's broader humanitarian vision under the framework of Saudi Vision 2030, which includes strengthening its international partnerships and enhancing its contributions to global peace and stability.
