TAHC announces festival to celebrate new museum engagement rooms

Jeddah, March 04, 2024, The Tariq Abdulhakim Center (TAHC) is delighted to announce an upcoming festival commemorating the unveiling of new engagement rooms at the TAHC museum. Scheduled to unfold each evening amidst the storied Al Balad District from 6 pm to 10 pm on March 7th-8th, this event promises a jubilant atmosphere for all attendees.

Enlivening the festivities will be a plethora of family-friendly activities, including live musical performances, carnival games, and more. Attendees can look forward to captivating musical showcases featuring a diverse lineup of Saudi musicians, spanning orchestral ensembles to folk artists. For the first time, these performances will grace the museum's new rooftop terrace café, accompanied by an array of engaging activities catering to all age groups.

Highlighting the festival's itinerary is a spirited parade through Al Balad on Friday, culminating in a rousing concert. Offering complimentary admission for both adults and children, the event provides a unique opportunity to delve into the rich tapestry of Saudi music and cultural traditions.

Established by the Museums Commission, the Tariq Abdulhakim Center stands as a multifaceted institution comprising a public museum in Al Balad, alongside research and advanced performance departments elsewhere in Jeddah. Dedicated to preserving, promoting, and celebrating the musical heritage and performing arts of Saudi Arabia, the center is custodian to the extensive music archive of the esteemed Saudi musician, educator, and collector, Tariq Abdulhakim.
