Taif Governor meets WHO and Ministry of Health representatives today

Taif, February 12, 2024, Taif Governor, Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, held a meeting today with Dr. Samar El-Feky, an expert from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Director of the Healthy Cities program in the Kingdom, along with Dr. Mohammed Nader Khashoggi, the Supervisor General of the Health Infrastructure Program at the Ministry of Health, and their accompanying team.

During the meeting, the governor extended a warm welcome to the delegation, underlining the importance of collaboration between relevant entities and the local community as fundamental to achieving success. He emphasized the ongoing efforts to develop Taif Governorate, not solely for the purpose of health city re-certification, but as an ongoing commitment.

The governor also took the opportunity to delve into the Healthy Cities program, discussing its pivotal role in promoting community health and well-being.

In response, Dr. El-Feky expressed her pleasure at witnessing the remarkable transformation taking place in the Kingdom as a whole, and specifically in Taif Governorate. She commended the significant development observed since her last visit in 2019, noting substantial progress across various aspects.
