Taradhi': Streamlining Dispute Resolution in Saudi Arabia

On September 30, 2024, the Conciliation Center of the Saudi Ministry of Justice has implemented an innovative approach to resolving disputes through its digital "Taradhi" platform, accessible at taradhi.moj.gov.sa. This platform offers fully electronic procedures that have significantly saved time and effort for beneficiaries seeking reconciliation.

Since its establishment, the Taradhi platform has facilitated over two million electronic reconciliation sessions, benefiting more than four million users. Furthermore, the platform has issued over 370,000 reconciliation agreements, covering a wide range of cases such as personal status, traffic, real estate, penal, commercial, intellectual property, financial, and medical malpractice disputes.

The overarching goal of the Conciliation Center is to foster a culture of reconciliation in society, positioning it as the preferred social and economic alternative for dispute resolution. Certified conciliators manage disputes across multiple tracks within a structured institutional framework.

In cases of breach of agreement, reconciliation documents issued by the platform are enforceable through the Enforcement Court. The user experience on Taradhi is continuously improved with features that streamline and expedite reconciliation procedures, alleviate human workload, and enhance system stability through electronic integration with internal entities and data exchange between systems. This technological advancement marks a significant step towards efficient and effective dispute resolution in Saudi Arabia.
