Riyadh, February 12, 2024, Tarshid, in collaboration with the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, has launched a comprehensive project aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and reducing consumption across all 16 buildings owned by the latter in Riyadh.
In line with global standards promoting energy optimization and consumption reduction, Tarshid released a statement detailing the initiative. CEO and Board Member of Tarshid, Waled Alghreri, highlighted the company's commitment to this endeavor, noting that field surveys and technical studies have been conducted on the buildings and facilities involved in the project.
Alghreri emphasized the adoption of 15 key standards designed to bolster energy efficiency. These standards encompass various measures such as control systems, central air conditioning enhancements, installation of variable-frequency drive units on air handling units, and modernization of control systems.
Furthermore, the initiative includes the replacement of less energy-efficient air conditioning units with more sustainable alternatives. Additionally, Tarshid will undertake the refurbishment of lighting systems, replacing traditional lighting with energy-saving LED systems renowned for their superior performance. The deployment of occupancy sensors in offices and facilities associated with the Royal Saudi Naval Forces in Riyadh is also part of the initiative.
Through these concerted efforts, Tarshid and the Royal Saudi Naval Forces aim to achieve significant strides in energy efficiency, contributing to sustainability efforts and aligning with global best practices.
