Riyadh, September 17, 2023, Tell es-Sultan in Jericho, Palestine, was named the first Arab site to be added to the UNESCO list during the 45th session of the organization, which is now taking place in Riyadh, according to the World Heritage Committee's first meeting today. Mounir Anastas, Palestine's permanent representative to UNESCO, expressed pride in this historic achievement and gratitude to all Arabs, particularly the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for making every effort to host this session and support the Palestinian cause at all international events in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
