Washington, January 11, 2024, The Transport General Authority (TGA) has successfully concluded its participation in the annual meeting of the Transport Research Board held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington. This year, the TGA played an active role in the board meeting, showcasing two innovative technologies implemented by the authority to enhance monitoring and violation detection during the Hajj season.
In addition to the technological showcases, the TGA also unveiled a technical policy focused on ticketing and fare collection systems within the Kingdom. The policy aims to streamline and integrate ticketing systems for various transport operators across sectors, establishing technical and operational specifications for efficient ticketing and fare collection.
The TGA's engagement in this meeting highlights its commitment to actively participate in international events dedicated to advancing cutting-edge technology in the transport sector. By doing so, the TGA aligns itself with the objectives outlined in the National Transport and Logistics Strategy (NTLS), showcasing its dedication to the development and modernization of the transport sector.
