Thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests Program, an African man who had been depressed for ten years due to missing the Hajj was able to fulfill his dream of pilgrimage.


Ismael Maysounah, an African man from Ghana, could not perform the Hajj due to illness.


He was called by the Kingdom's Embassy in Accra to receive notification of his selection to do this year's Hajj within the program of Guests of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques.


He said: I thank King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance for this opportunity accorded me to be part of this great program and to perform the Hajj".



An African, Ismael Maysounah of Ghana, touched down in Makkah on June 12, 2024, with the purpose of the Hajj. However, he fell sick and could not fulfill his Hajj. Maysounah has been depressed for the past ten years as he could not make the Hajj, and until he received a telephone call from the Kingdom's Embassy in Accra informing him that his name was picked to perform this year Hajj under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Guests Program. He had been persistently praying for the opportunity to perform Hajj. Ismael expressed his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as well as His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for allowing him to participate in the program and providing him with the opportunity to perform Hajj. In addition to that, he expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance for their openness and generosity.
