Riyadh, February 1, 2025 — The 15th annual National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity (Ibdaa 2025) will take place from February 3 to 6 at the Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University Conference Center in Riyadh. This prestigious event is organized in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education and the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba). The Olympiad aims to showcase the outstanding scientific talents of Saudi students and further foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the Kingdom.
Ibdaa 2025 will feature an impressive 200 research and innovation projects selected from a pool of over 23,000 entries submitted by students across the country. These projects, spanning 22 scientific fields, were carefully chosen for their originality, impact, and scientific merit. The fair represents the culmination of months of rigorous selection, during which students competed to present their best ideas in fields such as engineering, technology, biology, physics, and environmental science.
This year’s fair marks the fifth and final phase of the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity, and it will serve as a platform to identify the top student innovators in Saudi Arabia. The winners of Ibdaa 2025 will be awarded the honor of representing the Kingdom at renowned international and regional science competitions, including the prestigious International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in the United States. A total of 68 students will be selected to participate in these global forums, where they will have the opportunity to present their groundbreaking projects on the world stage and compete for further recognition.
