Cairo, April 5, 2025 – Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit stated that Israel's wars in the occupied Palestinian territories, Lebanon, and Syria have entered a new phase of reckless aggression, openly violating signed agreements, invading countries, and causing more civilian deaths.
In a statement today, Aboul Gheit warned of the consequences of global inaction in the face of Israel's blatant disregard for international legal standards. "It seems that the Israeli war machine will not stop as long as its leaders continue to export their internal crises abroad, and this is clear to everyone," he said.
Aboul Gheit condemned the resumption of targeted assassinations in Lebanon as an unacceptable violation of the ceasefire agreement, which threatens regional stability and risks uncontrollable escalation. He emphasized that Israel's actions are designed to destabilize Syria and Lebanon through reckless military provocations fueled by narrow domestic agendas, putting civilian lives and regional peace at risk.
