Riyadh, March 19, 2025 — The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has strongly condemned the recent attack targeting the convoy of Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud. The assault, which posed a serious threat to the safety and security of Somalia’s leadership, has drawn widespread international condemnation, with Saudi Arabia reiterating its unwavering commitment to supporting Somalia in the face of such heinous acts.


In its official statement, the Kingdom expressed its deep concern over the escalating security challenges faced by Somalia, emphasizing that such attacks undermine the efforts toward peace and stability in the country. Saudi Arabia firmly affirmed its full solidarity with the Somali Republic and its people, highlighting that the Kingdom stands by Somalia in its continued fight against terrorism and all forms of violence that threaten the country’s security and stability.


The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also reiterated its strong position against extremism, terrorism, and violence in any form, underscoring the importance of unity and cooperation in combating these global threats.
